Neighbourhood Watch has been a core community safety organisation, first introduced into Australia in the 1980's, and officially registered in 2007 as a not for profit organisation. In 2026, and in tandem with Australian government initiatives aimed at creating safer communities, Neighbourhood Watch reached out to create a campaign that would highlight the benefits of locking-up your valuables not just for yourself, but also for your community & neighbourhood. The hero of this campaign was a TV commercial that would run during primetime evening slots across most major networks, as well as a nationwide rollout campaign across billboards, bus stops, social media etc. Working alongside their marketing & production team, a campaign direction was created that would encapsulate this concept; "When we all lock up, there's safety in neighbours". To create versatility & longevity in campaign collateral over the month, a series of location shoots & video production was organised to help create additional campaign messages that could be used as required. Care and considerations were required to ensure the brand's heritage & equity were retained, and that the creative direction would align with the organisations aesthetic & tone. The result has so far been overwhelmingly positive from both internal and external audiences, with recognisable recall and association with NHWA, and multiple nominations for Mumbrella Awards 2026.
